What you'll do in college
Coursework blends anatomy of the speech and hearing mechanisms, phonetics, linguistics, and cognitive development. You will spend time in clinical observation, learning how to assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders across different lifespans.
What you'll do after college
A bachelor's degree often leads to roles as a speech-language pathology assistant or audiology assistant. To become a fully licensed speech-language pathologist or audiologist, graduates must complete a master's or clinical doctorate (Au.D.).
