Healthcare Administration

What you'll do in college

Coursework focuses on the business and operational side of the medical field. You will study healthcare policy, health economics, financial management, healthcare law, and organizational behavior. You will learn how to manage facilities, navigate complex medical regulations, and improve healthcare delivery systems. Many programs include a capstone project or an administrative internship in a healthcare setting.

What you'll do after college

Graduates work as health services managers, hospital administrators, clinical directors, or health policy analysts in hospitals, private networks, nursing homes, and government agencies. The work revolves around managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving facility efficiency, and leading staff, focusing on high-level operations rather than direct patient care.
